Wind shield

My 323i OE windshield suffered a minor crack that is beginning to grow. A couple days ago while traveling the Wash DC beltway my windscreen was pelted by a small rock. I'm trying to figure out whats the best thing for the vehicle safety and BMW integrity. All suggestions are solicited, thanks in advance and happy motoring...

Best thing to do is replace the windshield -- but that's awfully expensive.

2nd best thing -- get to an autobody shop NOW!!! before it's too late. If you catch the crack soon enough they can repair it -- and if their good, you will have to really look for it to find it again.

Best thing is to replace the glass especially if you glass coverage with your insurance. This type of claim never affected my rates.

I second rjp325i. I've replaced numerous windshields through my insurance. It has no effect on my rates.
