Hi,

I have had my new 2004 325ci for about half an year now, and I have always hand washed my car so this problem never presented itself before. So I decided to take her to one of those touchless car wash for the first time yesterday because of freezing temperature, and while the wash are working on sides, i noticed there is a little water coming in from both front windows, near the side mirrors, but it only happens for those few seconds that when the water pressure are directed directly on the spots.

My question is that if this is normal? This is the first time I own a car with no frames around its windows. Should I take the car back to the dealer ?

Thanks

I have always thought about that possibility while going through an auto car wash, but I just don't think it can happen. The seal between the window and the body of the car is very tight and is designed such that water just does NOT get through. I think this problem has happened to somebody else on the forum, so you are not the only one....but it's pretty safe to say that what is happening to your car is not normal. Take it in to the dealership because I woudl imagine that if the auto wash makes water get through, then a heavy rain storm would do the same.

Definitely take it back to the dealer and tell them you don't think it is normal for it to leak in a car wash. Sounds like the windows aren't sealing properly for whatever reason.

My policy when it comes to items I can't fix myself is let them figure it out.
