[thumb] Hey Bimmer crewmates, I have a quandry... My Windshield washer spray does not shoot as far as it once did. It seems as if either my pump has lost it's magic or my nozzles are somehow clogged or gunked up. Has anyone experienced this with there bimmer and how did you resolve it. My options are check and replace the fuses, replace the pump motor and or clean the jets if they are indeed gummed up. Winter is coming and the last thing I want to face is the ugly road spray and salt with an unreliable windshield wiper washer unit. Thanks in advance. [driving2]

Do you hear the pump run when you try it? If so, then the fuse and pump are OK.

My Volvo always clogged the washer jets. I used a VERY small wire, like 28 gauge, to insert into the jets and clean them out. Just be careful that you don't break it off inside the jet. Haven't had this problem on the bimmers.

[thumb] Yes, I can hear my pump even when no fluid is coming out. It takes a few seconds then I get spirts, no steady streams. I will try what you advise and attempt to clean my jets with something pinpoint and precise. I will report back after this project. Appreciate the feedback... Happy Motoring... [driving2]
