It's time of the year again. Sorry if there was already a such thread relating this topic, I haven't been checking in regularly.
I have been looking at the following for winter wheels.
Michelin: seems durable, reasonably reputable
Perili: Don't know any info on this one.. but one of suggested by BMW dealer
Yokohama: Heard many good things about this, seems to be the most technically superior, but heard they have short lifespan. Is this true?
Nokian: recommented by a local shop. They also make rims too, and good price.

Any other info? suggestions?
thanks in advance.

Mr. E., do you know anything about the quality of their OEM replica's? I was looking at their site yesterday and was seriously considering a winter rim/tire package, but, for example, are these rims gonna bend the first time I hit a pothole, or something?

Also, I noticed that all the different rims have different "offsets". Is this something I need to consider for proper fitment? (I don't even know what this is...)

Thanks!

Not sure if it's necessary to get alloy for winter. Steel is heavier, but probably more durable against salt. I don't really mind getting a 16'' but what I really want is 225+ tread width as it increases contact with road hence better traction in any condition.
What's the best wheel/tire maker makes the best combination for the above requirement?
