Winter tires for a 330 XI?

I just moved to snow country for the first time. Fortunately, I moved prepared.

My 330xi is so much fun to drive in upstate New York backroads, I can't even gush enough!

My question to the board is this... do I need to get snow tires for this car? It's AWD with runflat tires... so I'm really not sure.

AWD only allows you to put power down, not stop or turn. And as nice as being able to get going is, stopping is a lot more important.

Get the snow tires. The so called all season tires on my old 330xi could not hold a candle to the Blizzak's I'm using on my '04 330i

No, you do not need snow tires at all. The all-season tires mean just that...all seasons. They won't do as well in the snow as snow tires, but they offer a good balance of all-weather drivability with good tread wear.
