Any suggestions on replacement of wiper blades? Is there is special blade one must purchase from the dealer or can you replace the refills as with other vehicles.

You have a 2003 Bmw, arent you still in your free maintenance period?

"Full Maintenance includes items that need replacement due to normal wear and tear, provided wear and tear exceeds BMW specifications. This includes items such as brake pads, brake rotors, and wiper blades that are not covered by the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty."

I recently replaced the wipers at the dealer for about $10 (installed)--totally worth it. Great blades, good clearing. Can't believe you can do it for much less.

Dealership is supposed to do it for free. If you're looking for non-BMW blades, Bosch MicroEdge Excel and ANCO HydroClear blades are the best....great price, great performance. PIAA Silicon blades are great also, but they're VERY expensive and they're noisy.

[wiggle] I purchased the PIAA Super Silicone wiper blades for my Bimmer and love them. The difference between the Super and the Regular is that the Supers have a spoiler attached to work with greater effieciently at high speed with less noise. I researched every website and every on-line part store for the best BMW replacement I could find and love the PIAA replacement option. They are a little pricey: $22.00 for left and $20.00 for the right. Well, that's my two and a half cents worth, Happy Motoring. [driving2]

the super silicon blades are worth every penny, imho. THe silicon coats the windshield with silicon making it bead the water. you almost dont need the wipers at all.
