Wipers

My windsheild wipers work but sometimes they dont set back to the lowest position on the windshield...(they go all the way down, but then come back up about 2 -3 inches)...its at the dealer now for inspection II, but they dont know what it could be...I am still under warranty and they want to replace the entire wiper set....any thoughts?...has this happen to anyone?

Don't know, but our Acura had a winter setting to keep the wipers up on the windshield (warmer there and keeps them from freezing.)

Have them replace the whole set. Do all you can while under warranty.

As far as I can tell with my '01 and '04 bimmers, there is no "resting position" on our wipers. In other words, the lowest "on" position is the same as the lowest "off" position. So wherever your wipers are going, 2-3 inches up on the window, is not in the cycle. How bizarre. I say let them replace the whole assembly.

The wiper park sensor is bad. They need to replace the wiper motor.
