I have a 2000 323i and my headlights do not have the projectors that create the blue effect. Now I was looking on ebay and I found some after market headlights that were selling for 150 US. Now does anyone know the quality of these and if they work the same as the factory headlights would or are they poor quality and not worth the money. If someone could please help me because I am looking to buy ASAP.....Thank you

[thumb] Wuz up Petakos, I too drive a 2000 323i and have considered projectors but I bought a couple of EBAY mod products and wasn't entirely happy with some of the things I purchased. I'm a modder and try to get the best price for all parts that I buy. I've found excellent wheels on EBAY however I haven't had the same good fortune when it comes to electric products. They're usually shoddy and of sub-standard quality. I purchased a set of DME Halo's on EBAY and ended up scraping them because they looked cheesy. My advice would be to buy electric parts at Bavarian and AutoWerks and Exterior body parts on EBAY. Just my two and a half cents worth...

You get what you pay for. I'm real hesitant on getting stuff for my car on eBay. On my Civic, sure. Car was flimsy anyways. Even then, I eventually tossed my exhaust cuz it was one of those cheapy ones. My intake was a little better, but even then, I recommend going with more quality stuff. Car's aren't like cell phones. Having a good quality part is just more important. Yeah, I know the stuff's real expensive, but it really does matter on cars.

Ya I kinda was thinking that before I posted this but I just wanted to make sure....Now if I buy the original OEM projector headlights are they more plug and play or are there more components I have to buy to have that blue light effect.

Given the financial situation you describe, does it make
any sense at all to spend hundreds of dollars so that the
headlights on your car shine blue?

I don't even look at my headlights (non-xenon), I just
turn them on and enjoy the ride.

Your car is now out of warranty, do you have enough cash
on reserve to deal with a transmission failure, or some other
major mechanical problem?

Imagine having your car sit in the parking lot for weeks with
a broken transmission, and blue headlights.

you want projector 46's / xenons... get them from jlevistreetwerks.com or go OEM. There are certain things i would get from ebay, and certain things I wouldn't. Not to say, there are some ebay stores that sell very decent quality aftermarket products which I have purchased from.
