Yo E46 Owners!

My first car was a 93 318is. It was totaled in december, and I definitely want another bimmer. Unfortunately I want an E46, which is a bit more expensive than the E36. A few questions in reference to the E46... Did all come standard with sunroofs? Overall opinions on 2dr vs. 4dr? I want a 2, but can probably only afford a 4, considering they restyled the 4 a year earlier ('99). Does anyone have any pictures of a pimped-out 4 door? Any unsual problems that raise concern?

I'd recommend you just search the message threads here with the key words "maintenance" or "repairs". Although I'm a very new owner (only had my car for three weeks) I've scoured the board for information about my particular model (330Cic) and it's sister (330Ci) to see what problems I may expect to run into and when.

The people on this site are extremely friendly and very helpful and, generally, are very honest with their opinions of what goes wrong and suggestions for how to get stuff fixed.

A 4-door 3-series can look really thug life, if properly modified.
