ZHP exhaust question

I have a 2004 ZHP on order. I am wondering how much difference I will hear compared to my 2000 328i.

I have heard it is a bit louder, but I'm really interested in how it sounds.

Can someone give me a good description of the new exhaust sound? Even better, does anyone have a recording of it?

How does it compare to the G35 coupe's exhaust? I love that sound.

What's a ZHP? Is that the 330i Performance Package?

ZHP = Performance package
but on this forum we've just been using PP which gets confusing w/ premium package...on other forums they use ZHP

andre: i have an '01 330ci and '04 zhp and the exhaust on the zhp is a nicer, deepter tone, it has a nice sound when u turn it on especially and when u increase rpms. i'm guessing that the exhaust on the 330 coupe isnt too different from the 328i but i'm not sure. i would record the noise for u but not too sure how.

MrElusive, I don't think it actually stands for anything - it is the BMW order code for the performance package.

i read on another forum the "HP" stands for high performance and the Z was like zien or something...and then i read that it was just a code they use for the performance package

How is the 330i ZHP exhaust? Is it as loud as the G35C? I have never heard one or driven one, only seen them at the car show and in BMW showrooms.

i'll tell u later this week...my friend has a g35 coupe, i havent' really heard it b4 but i'll find out in comparison w/ the zhp

I'll bet the ZHP doesn't sound at all like the G35C. That one was awesome. It spit and burbled like a muscle car.

The G35C is a deep humming sound to it, like a constant drone. When you rev it up, the exhaust warbles and gurgles like a beast, and when you accelerate hard in any gear, it is obnoxiously loud.
