I just purchased the car and after visiting the local car wash my headlamp area fogged up with moisture.. can anyone direct me to the best way to fix this issue?

Check the rear of the headlight assemblies. The flap that gives you access to the bulb may be loose. I doubt that the gasket around the glass has come loose.

I have a dead spider in the headlight of our X3, is it a nightmare
to disassemble all that stuff to get at the dead spider?

I thought the headlight assemblies were sealed to keep out dust,
etc, but apparently not?

Glad to hear I'm not alone -- maybe there's a way to suck the
spider out (a tube stuck on a vacuum?)

Funny how you piqued my interest in my pet headlight spider. I had forgotten about it until I read your post!!

Assuming you have xenons also, maybe this will work:
  • Remove the high beam lamp socket from behind to gain access to the area of interest.
  • Use your "tube stuck on a vacuum" method to suck the critter out.

Yep, she has xenons.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot!
