Water pump question...

I am in the process of replacing my water pump. Has anyone used the Stewart High Performance Water Pump and what are the pros/cons of using such a pump?

I have never used one. My thoughts are why what does it accomplish for almost three times the price of an updated factory pump? My car never ran hot with the factory pump and was only replaced due to the plastic impeller issues, so the coolant flow must have been adequate, will a higher flow accomplish anything, no! I would buy an updated OEM unless someone else can justify it.

My thoughts exactly...however it does specify that it cuts down on parasitic drag. That translates in free hp in the old books.

Not sure how it does that, but how much HP are you going to gain from a water pump?
