Ok, so I used to be an Audi guy and just entered the world of BMW and love my new 325. I bought the IPod connector that goes in the glovebox and you control it from the radio face. The only problem is that it doesn't come with an instruction manual. Does anyone have one of these and know how to use it? Is my only option to control it, the volume and next song? That's kind of lame.

im guessing u have the same adaptor i have... yep pretty much the steering wheel controls will get you next song, previous song and volume. if u hold down the next song button it'll give you the ability to skip 10 songs at a time. or skip back 10 songs at a time if u hold down the previous song button. you can also set up different playlists that correspond to your 1 2 3 4 5 (cd buttons on ur radio) within itunes u set these up as BMW 1, BMW 2, etc. (cant remember if there is a space in between BMW and the number or not) the 6th button is reserved to access all songs on the ipod. anyway, hope this helps.

BMW's rendition of the ipod connactivity was pretty limiting. but considering it was one of the first soluitons on the market, suppose it can't be helped. the limited playlist and lack of song title info sucks, but it's a direct connection to the business CD head unit.
