2004 convertible hard-top..the part

2004 911 C4S can now bring its top up at speeds up to 31mph, things are looking up.

It weighs more because they stiffen up the frame

Plus why would I all that extra weight for nothin'?

The hardtop is Aluminum and weighs only 75 lbs. so it really is very little extra weight. Think of it this way:
- It's less than a full tank of gas - 15 gals. of gas weighs almost 100 lbs.
- It's less than the weight of your date - assuming you get dates!
- It's about the same as 4 cases of beer.

frolf, I read that same thing about the 911 C4S Cabriolet in the newest R&T Magazine as well! I think that's really pimp daddy that it can raise/lower the top up to 31mph.

O.K....Rest easy, the dealer confirmed the hardtop from 2003 is identical to the 2004.

All is well, there is going to be a coupe in my garage soon, funny it matches my convertible !!!

Have you gotten or considered the windscreen? It's really cuts down on the wind turbulence and noise above 40 mph. You can actually talk on a cell phone with it in place.

I don't use it all the time - I like the wind - but it's nice for long freeway trips, and the women like it 'cuz it reduces the 'wind blown' look.

soft top it is................the BMW lettering windscreen is awesome..........if I ever get my car back from the dealership (two weeks now) I might enjoy this cool Texas weather.....

If you want it easy buy a cadillac or something, you will love the ride there. I like to be hardcore and feel every inch of ground, water and air passing through.
