Just FYI:

My 330i PP with a production date of 9/5 has shipped. According to the tracking site, it should hit the US on 9/27. I cannot wait!!!

Especially 'cause I've finally got a buyer for my 323...

Hey I was a 9/5 also. my baby is on the TAI SHAN and should hit NY on 9/30. I hope they put a little rocket fuel in that boat and it makes it a day or so sooner. Not many more days here in NY to keep the top down.

Cool. My car is on the TAI SHAN also (9/11 production date). I hope they get it here to Baltimore within a day or two after that. If they'd let me, I'd take the train up to NY and get it myself!

Thanks, guys, I had no idea I could track the car on the ship. I have a 9/5 production 330cic

VESSEL: TAI SHAN VOYAGE: EQ326-TSH
Port Country Arrival Departure
BREMERHAVEN GERMANY 17/09/2003 18/09/2003
SOUTHAMPTON UNITED KINGDOM 20/09/2003 22/09/2003
NEW YORK, NY U.S.A. 30/09/2003 30/09/2003
BALTIMORE, MD U.S.A. 02/10/2003 02/10/2003
CHARLESTON,SC U.S.A. 04/10/2003

Now what's this about the premium package... I ordered the car without it. Are you saying it will come with the premium package? I believe about all you get with the premium package is an autodimming mirror and wood dash trim. Mine doesn't have the premium package listed on the BMW vehicle order tracking screen. It would be there if it was on the car, wouldn't it?

I'm already buying it presents. I got a Delphi "Roady" XM receiver for it today. I'm looking into buying it a supercharger. I also find I can retrofit a NAV if I want to. I've got a powdercoating setup, I'm thinking about flat blacking the chrome and the 330ci emblem. Gotta go, wife home.....

If its a Cabrio, the dealer showed my the notes that 100% of sept prodution cabrios had to have the PP. So keep your fingers crossed that your dealer missed it like mine did.

My 2004 325xi was produced on 9/4/03, started the voyage to NJ on 9/18, and is scheduled for delivery to my dealer on 10/8. I'm spending the entire day cleaning out the garage to make a hole for my black beauty. It's been a long wait (ordered the car the first week of July), but thanks to the posts on this site I have to say that it was worth the wait to get an kind of education on the Ultimate Driving Machine.

Ten more days!!!

hey greeps, how are you planning to retrofit a navigation in yours? If you actually do do so, or have any good info please let me know. I am currently trying to find out what parts I would need for my 2004 325ci and what the part numbers are so I can order them, then going to go get them installed by west coast customs (as soon as I save up some cash that is...), but I was just curious where and how you were planning on doing yours. THanks man.

Does anyone know how long after it reaches port that it takes to do prep, etc.? I want to tell the guy who's buying my old car when he's going to be able to pick it up (he's letting me drive it until my new car is ready).

I meant my car comes October 1st (which actually came earlier - september 25 or something) but i live in FL and it took about 3 days to get my car from SC to FL (from when the boat arrived to SC to when they drove it arrived at my dealer). I was reading a webpage that said that the VPC takes less than a day so they take it over to your dealer right after that...but it depends on how far you are from your VPC to know how long it takes...my guess is 2 - 5 days, not longer

Do all BMW's have a production date that you read somewhere or you know the production date because you ordered one?? It seems you guys are always talking about what options were available for a certain period during a model year production and was just wondering if I would ever know when my car was actually produced.[???1]

Congrats on the new car..........

You can get your production date from your dealer or enter your VIN into the Owner's Circle at www.bmwusa.com to see the status of your production.

Remember your production date is the date your car is completed at the factory.

Hmm, My production date is 10/3 (today), does anybody know how long it usually takes to get here? I'm in Los Angeles, my dealer said 60 days beginnning today.... I know our local harbor stop takes about 2-3 weeks. That's all I know.

Thanks in advance.

bobo, I had a 9/5 date. car got to port of exit on 9/11 didnt ship till 9/18. Hit NJ on 10/1 and I suspect my dealer (who is only about 4 hours away from port) should have the car today. now somtimes its much longer on the left coast.
