I just finished a hard wire install of my V1 in my other car. It's nice. If you want to do a nice install job, go to radio shack and get a RJ11 phone wire tool. You can make the wires any length you want and with the ends removed snake them through a tighter spot.
On my innauguaral test run, the Laser detection went off. I never saw the guy! Thank goodness. I think it makes me a more cautious driver, because I'm more attentive now.
