I bought a Water Blade yesterday at Wal-Mart for 18.98 + Tax (the big one with the purple handle) after reading this thread just to give it a shot.

I used it yesterday and it worked pretty well. You have to be creative with angles you drag along with and so on. The car was very clean (just washed) so I wasn't worried about dirt scratching.

I found it leaves water drops in some places that the blade just doesn't get. I use a vry clean chamois to touch it up. Also the whole nose is best done with a clean cotton towel or a clean soft chamois as you all know.....duh.

I also bought the California Duster for the interior and the thing works great. Picks up all the dust from every nook and cranny. Sweet.

i use a waterblade too. I definitely think its great and saves time but its not good in that it doesn't take the dirt thats left over even after washing. if u noticed, even after washing, theres like a thinfilm of dirt on the car still that is noticeable on a towel after drying it (especially if u use a white towel). but if u wash ur car alot (like i do) a waterblade is great. But if i were gonna take pix of my car i always manually dry my car...its shinier.

I've never seen it either. My car is squeaky clean after I wash it.

Now sometimes a towel will pick up some dirt from a spot like under the bumper where some grime was hiding and I missed it washing. But never an overall film of dirt.

haha well when i wash my car i guess i don't scrub well enough cause whenever i dry my car manually w/ white towels (and i'm talking about the paint only of the car), they always end up being darker then before, especially near the bottom . [;)]
