1st of all, I feel sorry for BMWROCK. Hope everything is alright now.
My 318ti had the same problem before. It just broke and kept sinking down, while I was trying to wave "Hi!" to my friend in the parking lot. So Embarrassed! It costed my $450 to have the tiny window motor replaced! Good that you have a garage though. My little bimmer was taped with black trash bag to function as temp window. I was back in college - parking in the college parking lot. The electrical parts are easily worn out by heat and humid! Hope BMW can spend more time on research on detail like these!
