Opinions run deep !

I opt out of this thread, but in terms of Bimmers, they make some "hella" performers with 4 doors. Call em what ever ya like ??
Same here! Without the 4 door I don't think BMW would be in business.

I just don't see a coupe and think performance just because it is a coupe. But then again, stickers do nothing for me either. [fake]

Coupe and sedan are the same weight. You cannot simply remove weight and keep the 50/50 distribution. Coupe has larger doors and more rear support weight.

A 330i ZHP significantly outperforms a 325 ci, so much so that it is almost not even a fair comparison. As would an M5, even with 4 doors. [rofl]

So it depends on what you like. Do you like performance? Then spend the extra $6,000.00-$7,000.00 and get the 330.

Or if you only care about looking like you have performance then keep the 325 and take the badge off. [thumb]

I am confused. Came to this board and have found many helpful people. You dude seem to have issues. What is the deal with engine size and badges? The overwhelming acceptance is that two door vehicles are "sportier" than their 4 door utility brethren. End of discussion.

Hey, its all relative to one’s experiences and established values. To one person a set of expectations surrounding an event or thing is set a particular way based upon life experiences. To another, the expectations could be vastly different based upon their experiences. Just as I am sure many people here had very different value levels.

Anyway, I am finished with this debate. You did make a good car choice-enjoy it and welcome!

I my humble opinion, the 4 doors shouts to the world a man whos in tune to his pratical needs as well as sportiness, hence a "Family Man".

2 Doors tells everyone, its only for you and only other, hence the bachelor.

Ci's definetly do not look better. I had a choice between my current 2003 black 330i and a 2004 silver 330ci. I went for the i coz it looks better and in this part of the world it is faster. So don't give me that kind of shit sayin ci's look better because that's what you think, i don't think the same and i don't think everyone else does.

peace

interesting argument

i believe that both sides of the coin here can be argued well. i have just one example to argue for the sedan over the coupe as the better handling of the 2. Take for example, the proven better handling audi s4 avant wagon(B5) over the audi s4 sedan(B5). Same engine and horese and tourque. There has to be something in the rigidity and the stiffness of the frame and possibly the weight difference over certain points of the wheels. other than that i think it is a relative crapshoot but IMO the coupe is better looking. Honestly, they are the same exact car, both have the same horsepower and tourque. As far as other parts of the world and the horsepower there, i dont care. just my 2 cents

well, i share the idea that a 2 door usually looks more sporty than a 4 door. same is often valid in terms of performance. stiffer suspension, sometimes more horsepower (i.e. G35).

as far as bimmers are concerned the gap between sedan and coupe is not as big as with amyn other brands. both cars are already at a high level of sportivity and agility.

WOW, that is a shock[:0] Because of the IS300 and the thought that in many ways it is better than the 330's.

I guess I need to drive the IS300.
If your buying a car based off skid pads test maybe you should, and just think, it comes standard with that great looking interior[fake]
