Do your headlights come on with your auto wipers?

So that means your headlights are doing the right thing... regardless of whether it's raining or not. They should automatically come on when the ambient light drops to a point where extra light is necessary.
Right on, although the rain sensors seem to change the sensitivity of the headlight sensor. The lights go on when its brighter outside than than they would if it wasn't raining. It has to be fairly dark for my lights to kick on if its not raining.

I HATE it when people drive around with their lights on during a bright sunny day.
Most cars come with daytime driving lights now. Even your bimmer has them if you have the dealer turn them on for you. It uses the inside lights on a low power (high power if you pull back on your turn signal) setting so that you aren't using your xenon's. I find it to be a very nice safety feature on other cars when they are coming towards you and the sun in in your eyes.

Good info, gizzy. I am aware that a lot of cars come with DRL's (daytime runnlng lights) now, but I know when its a car's DRL's that are on or when it's a car's lights that are on. DRL's are definitely a great idea...you can see oncoming cars much more easily. But what I hate about them is that the glare from the DRL's hides the look of the front of the car. When I had my Jetta, the first thing I did was disable the DRL's. As for driving with the lights on, I see lots of people do this, and I think it's just stupid if it's during a bright sunny day.

I agree on a bright sunny day, headlights are a pointless waste, and just shouldn't be on. That's why if my auto lights act up I turn them off on a sunny day, it's just pointless....
