M3 motorwerks, I see what you're saying. To be honest, I wouldn't mind some tighter steering...

My friend is shopping for a new BMW, and he's decided to keep his '98 Mitsu 3000GT to play with. It's a completely stock car, auto trans. I'm going to help him do some minor performance mods (wheels/tires, chip, etc), although I have no idea what's out there for Mitsubishi. Question: do you know of any pulley kits for his car? I'll experiment with his car! [hihi]

I wouldn't screw with my car for 11hp.......Sounds like something a riced out highschool civic driver would do, not a new e46 owner.[screwy]
I am glad to see this thread became much more productive. I first started this thread hoping to get some informative feedback from Enthusiasts who have either tried power pullies or who know of them. After the not-so-constructive quote above, I was discouraged people would ever write more. Thanks guys, esp. MS Motorwerks, I am still looking into them. After more thought, I think I will start by modifying (slightly) the suspension by adding RD Sway Bars.

dont be discouraged. this is a great site. however, if you are interested in modding your bmw this is not the site. most of the folks around here are very relunctant to and dont think you should mod them.pm me if you are interested in some sites for mods.

That was a constructive quote. I simply said I wouldn't play with the engine components to gain 11hp. Yes, I still agree that modding the engine for minimal gain is childish. You should simply track your car as previously suggested and realize it's way better than the hp number. [bmwkick]

I'd recommend to take the car at least once to a good driving school, especially if you start feeling the car is getting slow and not fun anymore.

Not only the experience will make you a much better and safer driver, but you'll gain so much more respect for the car as well. You'd be very surprised how many other more powerful and expensive machines you can put to shame with it.

Then, if the bug bites you, you can decide what you might need/want to upgrade.
Words from the wise. I could not agree with you more. [cheers]

I have been to 3 driving schools and would do more but cannot due to temporary budget restrictions. Investing in you driving skills is the most important upgrade you can do for yourself, your driving, your car. You will be more in touch with the car's dynamics and your driving limits which you will probably attain more quickly. [ohcrap]
