They don't let you take the patrol car (State Trooper car) home during the week? I know some Law Enforcement agencies let the troopers take them home. Just wondering. Yes, I believe bimmers have souls....

No not the State of NY. We have an assigned car, but share it with the other platoon. We can't take them home at all. I don't mind though really. I like to keep work and homelife separate. Besides, then I couldn't drive the Bimmer back and forth! You're right though, a lot of agencies let their officers take their car home. I guess NY is cheap.

Here's something for you: When I was in Kuwait with the Air Force, they had an M5 patrol car. Now that would be awesome. Take care, drive fast, and take chances! (makes our job easier for getting tickets- HAHA)

I think you're the only NYS Trooper with a sense of humor. Keep up the good work! [cheers]

Also, glad to hear everything worked out with your car and that the dealer did the right thing.

Most Troopers have a sense of humor, we just try to laugh when people aren't looking!

Thanks for your concern about my car. I drove it a few times today and it's running great.
