wheel protection

BMW just started this new program. Called Wheel protection. Basically it covers your tires and rims from any road hazards. This includes nails, pot holes, trees, etc. It cost my $395 and it covers my rims and tires for 5 years. As long as I put on the correct size tires and keep my tires properly inflated, I'm covered.

Again, this was just released not very long ago so it may not have been offered when you bought your car.

I figured with my low profile tires and all the construction going on where I live it'd be a good idea.

Very smart move, Dekion. I definitely would have gotten that wheel program. Personally, I am always watching out for potholes and stuff (I'm sure you are the same way), but it's just too easy to be not paying attention to the road one time, and BOOM, you hit a pothole and you're f*cked!

Thanks

Thanks Elussive. Did Infiniti offer anything similar? You're tires are 18" as well correct?

With my last car, I ran over a tree that was sitting in the highway after a storm. It bent one of my rims which cost me $645 to replace. The cost of one of those rims alone make it worth getting the protection.

"The perfect machine..."

TO: Dekion [wave]

FROM: PaddyLV [:)]

I'm pretty much convinced, after seeing your new ride, I'm going to go w/the 330i,
Imola Red, "silver cube" trim, and top it all off with the Performance Pkg.

I'll be discussing the ED w/my dealer tomorrow...

Speaking of wheel protection...

... has anyone heard of OR used

"ZOOP SEAL" wheel treatment ?

I saw it on 'Trucks'

There is a web-site for it...

Zoopseal.com

Was going to consider it for my '03 BMW's wheels.

It's a bit $$$ at $125 a wack... [cheers]

Thanks Paddy

You definitely can't go wrong with the Imola Red 330i pp. It looks 100% better in person.

I had my doubts on the silver cube trim initially. But when I got to the dealer and saw the crowd around my car, and everyone commenting on the exterior and interior colors, I knew I selected well.[:)]

Must be something specific to your dealer. BMWNA (1-800-831-1117) and my dealer are unaware of such a program. Too bad for me because I have the 18" Style 71 wheels and would be interested in such a plan. BTW, I took delivery of mine on August 2nd.

Could you check with your dealer for more specifics? Thanks in advance.

Dekkion, my wheels are 18" as well, and what's worse is that the wheels stick out a little bit, so even some auto car washes can destroy my rims, and I make sure to give myself ample space on the curb side when parking on the street (whenever I am actually willing to take that risk). Unfortunately, my Infiniti dealership offered no such wheel program. Also, when the college year starts up again (September 2nd), I have to drive on some NY highways such as the Cross Bronx Expressway, and that highway doesn't have potholes...it has f*cking crators !! I am scared for my wheels, Dekkion, I am really scared. [V]

paddyLV, I have never heard of this ZoopSeal product...I didn't spend much time on the web site but it looked like a wheel treatment to keep the wheels looking nice and clean and shiny, correct? Seems interesting, but here's what I do to keep my wheels clean: I get a car wash once a week, and in between car washes, I use Black Magic Wheel Wipes. I use one wipe per wheel (25 wipes in the container) and finish up the wheels with a single regular soft towel. After a few weeks, I have to wash the towel. It is the quickest, easiest, and harmless solution I have come up with so far to cleaning my wheels.

NICE RIDE!!!

Awesome car! I love the Imola Red too. It's much better in real life than in pictures. Pictures always show it too bright. It much deeper red in person.

I got a 330i w/ PP almost like yours minus the nav system. How do you like the nav? My dealer didn't have any cars on the lot with a nav system when I order my car. So I didn't get it, without being able to play with it first.

330hp, the navigation system is good. It is not very intuitive, but once you get used to it, it's fine. If you don't care for navigation (meaning you have a good sense of direction) then you're better off without it, as it's easier to use the audio system that way.

true happiness

ive come to the conclusion that there is literally noting better than a new bmw. im serious. if i could get any beemer and a blank check to dinan, thered be nothing greater. 25 super models beconing me for sex couldnt keep me away from a dinaned m3. thats just me though.

CONGRATULATIONS DEKION [thumb]

easy for you to say b/c i doubt anyone can afford 25 supermodels especially since they are people and not for sale, but if i had 25, i would take the sweetest one for myself and pimp the rest out to generate income for dinan m3's :)

agree

haha I agree. I was saying hypothetically, should 25 models want to sleep with me, OR the car with a dinan blank check attached to it, id pick the car. It was kind of a pat sajack, prize pack 1, or whats behind the mystery curtain scenario, as far as making the choice is concerned. But i think saving the best model and pimping the others for a source of income is an entirely legitimate buisness venture, and i applaud the mere suggestion of it [hihi]

Robin

Robin - I paid 44k out the door. That's with tax and tags. The car itself was about 42k. I only got 2k off the MSRP. I don't think the CI's will get the PP. I believe they are only for the 4 door sedans.

Thedude - Heh. Well 25 super models would be hard to pass up. I wouldn't know what to do with all of those women at the same time. What if they start bickering with one another?? I have a hard time dealing with one woman let alone 25. [rofl]
Plus they would bankrupt me I'm sure. My wife already does that alone!!!![:(]
