In rebuttal to your post...my stroker kit will be including the highest quailty parts available (i.e. forged pistons, connecting rods..etc) For boost applications...as far as I'm concerned, nothing else is acceptable. Where the body kit is concerned...I was originally planning on staying with a factory Mtech 2 kit, but it isn't practical for the application I am planning. I think that style-wise, the mtech is a better choice, however I believe that the e36 M3 look kit is better for my planned mods. If you look at the Mtech kit, the oil cooler vents are not well suited for an intercooler. Also, considering that I'm planning on a 14+psi boost application, I will need a larger intercooler than most offer for their kit (i.e. Mosselman)

I THINK YOU DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHAT I HAD SAID,, WHEN I MEANT YOU NEED THE RIGHT KIND OF PISTONS IT WAS BECAUSE,, DEPENDING ON THE DESIGN OF THE PISTON,, MEANING FLAT, DOME OR INCLINED, MATCHED WITH WHAT YOUR HEAD, IS THE COMPRESION RATIO THAT YOU WILL GET,,, AS FOR THE RODS UNLESS YOUR TRYING TO SHAVE A 1/20 A SECOND OF YOUR 1/4 MILE,, THE -$1400.00 THAT THEY WOULD COST(PAUTER RODS) IS NOT WORTH IT ,, TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS,,,, THE FACTORY RODS ARE AS GOOD AND AS STRONG AS YOU NEED IF YOU WANT YOU CAN HAVE THEM BALLENCED, AND POLISHED,, IM NOT TRYING TO PUT YOU DOWN FOR YOUR CHOICES,, IM JUST TELLING YOU FROM EXPEIRIENCE, IVE BEEN MESSING WITH THESE CARS FOR 10 YEARS NOW,, I STARTED BY WORKING AT A VERY BUSY BMW DEALER IN THE DC AREA,,, IVE SEEN IT ALL JUST ABOUT,,, BUT IF YOU WANT TO LEARN THE HARD WAY JUST DONT SAY I DIDNT TRY TO GIVE YOU A HEADS UP,,,, ALSO IT DOESNT SOUND LIKE YOU WOULD BE DOING THE WORK YOURSELF, SO CALLCULATE THAT INTO YOUR COSTS BEFORE YOU GET INTO DEEP,,, AND MAKE SURE YOU FIND A GOOD SHOP,, THAT JUST DOESNT WANT YOUR MONEY OR THAT COULD BE ALL SHE WROTE....
