i picked up my 03 pp about a month ago, and i'm on the verge of hitting the magic 1250 mark. can't wait to let it loose.. it's soo hard keeping the damn engine revving under 4500rpm..

anyway i just found out about the 04 not having leather, and am glad i did get the 03 w/ leather. it sucks i'm missing out on the rain sensor w/ auto lights and adaptive lights, but i like my leather just fine ^^

and it's good to have a choice right? as for the new 04 having a better resale, erm isn't that the case w/ every new model year? i dun plan on selling it anytime soon, so i guess i dun have to worry about that.

Hello all--as you can see, post numero uno.

First, if you build a 330i at BMWUSA, you can still build a 330i PP WITH leather. This is the new updated site featuring the 2004 model.

As for me, three weeks ago I purchased a 2004 330i silver/grey PP w/moonroof at 1500 over. This will be my second bimmer.

I agonized over two options: six speed v steptronic and leather v alcantara. I've been reading the forums and can see there are two (or three or four or five) schools for these subjects. As for me, it came down to.

Steptronic - better for traffic and when I'm lazy
Six speed - More fun, better fule milage, quicker acceleration, and cheaper

I think I made the right choice for me with the six speed

Leather - Well it's leather
Alcantara - doesn't transfer the heat and cold (which my kids don't like), and is a better value (I don't know why the ugrade to leather is the same price from leatherette as it is from alcantara...)

I hope I made the right choice here. Either way, I think life will be good.

They must have changed it. That was not the case a while back, even the dealer said no leather on the PP as did the service manager I spoke with. But now, yes you can get leather. [???1] They were all mad as h@ll at the dealership about no leather on the PP when I was there because of lost sales. Someone must have pulled their head out because this has changed. [8] [???1]

That sounds like a good price. Sticker on mine was $42,595.00 for '03 PP Imola Red, with $5,000.00 cash down 24 month lease at $480.00. I wanted the M3 but that was $5,000.00 cash 24 months at $850.00, well beyond my car allowance.

" '03 vs. '04 330i PP..."

[wave]

Hey Bryan in Vegas,

I hope to have my TrailBlazer sold within a week (or two), and at this point I'm

seriously considering having an '04 330i PP (Imola) built for a Nov/Dec delivery.

[?|] I keep thinking about the '03 330i PP [Gray] I drove a month ago (at D-BMW

of Hend.) , but at this point it's a year old and has been sitting for so long...[rolleyes]

Did someone say the '03 330i PP doesn't have the Adaptive Headlights or rain sensor

wipers??

I have those options on my '03 325i and wouldn't want to be without them on the

'03 330i PP.

Hey Paddy:

I was looking and I don’t think mine has rain sensor or adaptive lights. I noticed some things they left off the PP, I still don’t think you can get the BMW Assist and the PP. You only can get it with the premium. But for ’04 it looks like you get the rain sensor and adaptive lights.

The Imola Red is great and so is the gray, they were my first two choices. If I were buying now for later in the year I would get the '04 unless they would give you a great deal on the ’03. I originally put my deposit down the end of May for one of the first 8 Imola shipped to California. I just hope that there is not going to be a ton of Imola Red around, being the first that I know of in Vegas with one, I have had tons of people ask about it.

performance package has 10 more horses, 6 sd transmission (which i guess is now standard on all 3 series actually), 18" rims, deeper noise (bigger exhaust),smaller stick (manual), upgraded steering wheel, becomes availabe in imola red which is limited to M cars, lip spoiler, basically small aerodynamic changes like that.... u should learn about it on the bmw website.
I have a 330ci sport/premium and 330i performance package and i can't tell u how much better i like the performance package (and i really love my 330ci too but that goes back to the dealer in a month when the lease ends) Its really just an amazing car (but what 3 series isnt??)

I don't know if anybody noticed this or not, but any 2004 BMW 3-Series Sedan I try to build does not have Adaptive Xenon headlights. There is the Bi-Xenon w/Auto-Leveling option, but that does not include the Adaptive feature. I guess the Adaptive Bi-Xenons are only for the 3-Series Coupes and Convertibles. [???1]

I thought PP stood for Premium Package, so what does the PP Performance Package offer versus the Sports Package and Premium Package??
haha, that aspect of it totally slipped my mind.

basically for 3900 over base 330i, you get 10 more horses, 8 more lbs of torque? (somewhere aroudn there anyway) in the engine. you get a new nose, which make the 330i look more like the m3, except for the headlights, 18 inch m rims, wider tires, rear deck lip present on the m3. top speed is up to 155mph, shorter throw 6 speed manual, stiffer suspension etc.

i think it's worth the extra 3900.. before the site upgrade bmwusa.com had a flash page for it, but i can't find it. but here's bmw's list of features: enjoy

It could very well have it. They keep changing these things, I think because of getting rid of old and working into new.

PS-If you like the '03 gray one at D, and they are willing to deal, it has probably only been there a couple of months tops. They were expecting the first PP's in late July to August.
Thanks Bryan, [thumb]

I'll [hopefully] make a move on that '03 PP at "D" this month

If you happen to see an 'AutoTrader' magazine this week, my Pewter '02 TrailBlazer

should be on the cover...

Once I get rid of that, it's 'off to the dealer I go...' [clap]
