Oh I'd definitely go for OEM parts and have it done by the dealer. If his insurance company doesnt go for what YOU want, there's always this nifty little thing called small claims court

it depends on your insurance company tho. my family is insured by costco through american express. really really good rates! the one of the only issue w/ them is, if the car is more than 3 years old, they won't use OEM parts. it'll have to be out of pocket on our end, if we insist on the OEM part. so do your research before getting your hopes up.
