Man, I need to get out more. Bought May 14, 2003 with 17 miles on the odo. Now I only have like 7600 miles or so and it's been more than a year.

i baby my car....for ex. my school is 30+ miles away and instead of driving in my nice BMW i take another car we got at the house which is much worse, i really need to drive my car all the time, thats what it is there for, i mean its not my family's first BMW, raised in BMW's...why dont i drive it more!!! maybe its that new car smell...

I'm sticking with the program. I've got a little under 7,000 miles to go before my first service (which includes oil). I feel so liberated now as compared to when I drove the VW Passat. My maintenance manual stipulated that I have the oil changed every 5,000 miles. This 15K thing (due to synthetic oil) is cool. I drove my car off the lot on 13 March and haven't been back since ;-) At my current rate of mileage accumulation, I'll probably need it serviced sometime in late August / early September. I love the reliability of this car!

$90!??!?! Who the hell gave you that price? You can do it yourself or take it to a garage and do it for less than $30.

I use high mileage semi-synthetic in my car (88 325is) and it costs about $25 per oil change with the filter and about 20 minutes of work.
