How often do you change your oil?

I hate the whole "high mileage" ad campaign. Yeah, as if somehow, high mileage oil is tailored to higher-mileage engines rather than oil just being oil. I believe in quality of oil, but not high-mileage stuff. Mobile 1 and Castrol are the way to go.

Looks like good stuff. I would definitely use it too if I had a high-mileage car. How about using this oil for new cars? If it does all the shit they say it does, shouldn't it also be good to use on cars from day one, as a means of prevention for leaking, increased oil consumption, etc.?

Well it costs a little more than the non-high mileage stuff, and I believe it includes detergents or chemicals designed to make rubber seals softer.
