Steve...lol...c'mon...I think I've been good to you.

At any rate...over the last week and a half...I've been through 3 hosting companies...2 of which lied to me about adding my domain name to my server...so I finally went with the one I'm on now. The site is finally up and working...however the catalog is going to remain offline until Friday so I can get the last few kinks worked out. It won't have 100% of everything...but there will be enough stuff in the catalog for you e30 guys to see what it's all about.

BTW, Steve...what specific suspension set-up are you looking at? I would add one small item to your suspension list...M3 offset control arm bushings. They're often over-looked...but everyone I know that has them (and I've driven a few myself) notice a better response in steering. I would have to agree. You only need the two bushings...and they're relatively inexpensive.

Jason, you have done good by me. Glad to hear your web site will be up soon.

Here's what I'm looking at for suspension mods

H&R Sport Springs
Bilstein Sport shocks (possibly Koni's)
IE swaybar set with urethane bushings
Billet aluminum rear upper shock mounts
Aluminum Control Arms
M3 Offset bushings
Front Strut Brace
Urethane subframe bushings
Urethane trailing arm bushings
Front upper shock mounts

I figured I should replace all the bushing I can as long as I'm doing all this. The IE sway bars are stiffer than most and are probably overkill but I plan to take it to Ireland Engineering and have them do all the work. The prices for their parts are pretty fair and the labor seems reasonable. I could probably do it all if I wanted to but I just don't have the time or initiative. [:(]

I don't know if I want to get the adjustable camber plates as I think I will have enough negative camber and I may even want less. Since it's a convertible I'll probably never race it so this is all for the street.

All this is going to cost a lot, problably $2500+, but it's either do some major work on my current car (faster, better handling and looks) or buy a new car. I've had it long enough and need something "new". As it is I will probably spend over $5K on mods.

As far as the engine goes I already have the JC chip which made a big difference, and I want to get the IE extruded honed intake and higher capacity fuel injectors. After that I may do the AFM swap and an air filter but it will have to be easily swapped back to stock for emissions tests. Everything else should be "invisible" to a smog guy.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Steve

Steve...if you're interested in an AFM swap...I have something which will blow you away. It's a MAF replacement for your AFM box. It's way more free flowing than any AFM (m30 AFM included) and includes an ARC2 (Air/Fuel Ratio Calibrator) which allows you to adjust everything on-the-fly from inside the car. It's four-way adjustable (Low, Mid, High...and Throttle response). I just installed one of these in a customer's car yesterday, and the motor is completely stock. Now it pulls like a freight train. [ohcrap] The best part...is not only does it work extremely well, but it SOUNDS Great even on a stock exhaust.

Total installation time as around 1.5 hours if you are properly prepared, an everything is pretty much plug and play, with a couple wire bridges. You can even leave the stock AFM plug under the hood so you can reattch the old AFM when you smog it ;)

He's actually bringing the car by again so we can adjust the settings to match up with his new JC Chip.[burnout]

[wave] xLibelle,

Just to peak your curiousity...here is a photo of the kit we installed...and yes, I know the bracket isn't completely mounted...since it isn't included in the kit...we're fabricating one :)

Yes, this is a Split Second kit...it is complete (except for the filter)...and I can probably beat anyone's price on it ;)

It's a MAF sensor...3.5" diameter...a full 1" bigger than the stock AFM.

We also just got done installing it with the JC Chip (about 20 minutes ago)...I thought this thing pulled hard with a stock chip...but DAMN.
