knocking on right turn

i know i asked this question awhile ago but i deiced to just deal with it, but its getting worse. anyways when i take a right turn there is a knocking noise comming from the left rear of my car. i have figured out that it is eather the Rear shocks mounts or the Rear subframe bushings i am kind of hoping its not the subframe bushings b/c it looks like a hard fix. how can i tell which is making the noise so that i can fix it?

I bet its your side axle seal on your differential. get it checked out quick.

takea floor jack and jack your car up at the differential (forget anything about people saying thats bad for your car(it isn't)) and turn your wheels and notice for wobble at the differential near the axle outputs

the sound is comming more from the left side of the trunk like someone is hitting it with a hammer

put a block betwen the jack and the diff, and jack it up and check it out.

ok i spun the wheels by hand and i couldnt see any wobbling at all

have you checked ur muffler?

CHECK YOUR BUMPER IT MIGHT BE LOOSE. HAD A FRIEND WITH SAME PROBLEM AND IT WAS HIS BUMPER. GOODLUCK

my bumper and muffler seem secure my muffler moves a little but it takes alot of force

I recently fixed this problem on a customers Civic (I know.... a ricer) and it was wheel bearings. When you would turn, it would shift a lot of weight onto the wheel bearings causing them to click loudly. Probably not your issue, but just suggesting it anyways.

Doesn't do it while turning left?

no it doesnt do it when i turn left only right

check your wheel bearings on your car, both the rear axle output seals and the wheel axles and also on front wheels.

how would i go about checking out my wheel bearings and telling if they are bad

Raise the car up on a jack, and put your hands at the 10 and 5 o'clock positions, and see if the wheel 'wiggles'

if so your wheel bearing is prob bad.

the wheel does not wiggle at all... now what

and the rear axle seals are fine..also i check my rear left strut mount its in great shape

Probably a bad limited slip differential. I have the same problem, so i'm despirately hoping it's not nearly as bad as a faulty Limited slip.

If you have a bently manual look at 11:6 for the 'troubleshooting' section of the final drive.
