DigDawn: What color top did you get? My wife kind of insisted on the black, but I saw an M3 with a blue top that looked great. Again, not a big deal when you're driving.

I got the blue top. It's a pretty close match to the paint, although I think the Orient Blue might even be closer.

Dawn, the blue top on my '00 matches almost exactly to the Orient Blue body. I always thought that any other color besides black for a convertible top was silly, but I can't imagine mine anyother way now.

I find that my remote fobs have terrible range. My Chrysler fobs would work from literally hundreds of feet away. I could trigger my car in the parking garage from my downtown apt balcony. I find that I can get some extra range by holding the key up to my chin when pressing the buttons. Maybe my head is acting as a huge antenna?? Can't be anyworse than a cell phone for brain damage, right?

My remote for the 330 also has terrible range. 7-10 ft. like you say. You don't have to hold it to your head to get the extended range though. I have found any body part will do (torso, leg, arm, etc.)

BTW my '01 X5 key will open from 50 ft. away with no help from the body antenna. Me thinks something has changed in the key dept.
