I disagree. Buy it now if you can afford it. You could be dead in 2006+ and never had experienced the thrill of the ultimate Ultimate Driving Machine.
Well thats true too, so get an M3 right now, hurry. And then...~07-08, get an M3 in a hurry. [:D]

I would love the M3 but my biggest fear is someone vandalizing it when I park it. With the 330, I just don't seem to care as much. I don't know why I feel that way...

That's too little mileage. Just chill with the 330xi until 3 years/36,000 miles (it's a great car and you got it so you might as well enjoy it), and then get the new M3 when it comes out (timing should be just right). Otherwise, you will take a hit by selling it early.

You're right. I have a 4yr/50k warranty right now so I should stay put. Besides, my engine is actually just starting to break-in.

Yeah, but if you're just unhappy with the 330xi, then I would say definitely do it. I remember I had my Jetta for like not even a year....I had it for like 9,000 miles. I hated that car so much, it made me feel miserable most of the time I drove it. It was on a lease and only 9,000 miles on it....I had to pay $3,400 to get rid of it and then all the initial fees to get into my G35C, but every time I think about the situation, I would do the same thing again and again. It was worth every penny to get out of that piece of shit.

My point is that I didn't wanna seem to one-sided in my previous post. If you just hate the car and you're not getting along with it and it just doesn't suit you, then get rid of it. But if you like the car and you're enjoying it, then continue to do so. Give it some good mileage (I'd say at lease 36,000 miles) and then get rid of it, because if you sell it any time earlier you'll just be taking a hit.

I like my car but I want a manual tranny and I want to start racing people and kicking their asses like I used to do in my Mustang...

Then maybe you ought to get yourself an EVO or an SRT-4 or some such. I really don't see the 3 series as a drag race car per se...even the M3. WHat I'm saying is that these are cars that should be bought by someone who enjoys driving a machine that has been designed to provide excellent all around control, performance, and pleasure. If you wish a car for drag racing perhaps a Cobra is more appropriate...or for track maybe a new lotus ELise...but I see 3 series cars as being more refined and for other purposes really...

11k too little??? I dumped my 325i with 8.5k. There's no such thing as too little mileage if you're not happy with the car or it has problems. Whatever it is, if it doesn't do it for you anymore get rid of it.

[:D] And then I read the bottom post...... and I felt the exact same way about the 325i, whatever initial down payment lost on the lease was worth it to get rid of the POS.

You want an M3 - imo its the best muscle car/handling package/class available for 50k.

As for Mustangs, they normally dont challenge me & when they do, well..... I tend to smile. In a ZHP you will take some Mustangs - lose to some. In an M3 you will waste them all except a Cobra & then its still a fight.

I just toasted an A4 1.8T on the way home from the movie theater just now...A4 driver didn't even stand a chance.
Feels good to own people, doesn't it?
