I had a chance to 'toy' with one of those sport shifters at a dealer recently--it's so snick-snick smooth and the throws are incredibly short. Makes me jealous just thinking about it....

That is sweet . Are those angel eyes for your daytime running lights . Those lights are awesome . I get confused about which is xenon and bi-xenon. I mean I know I don't have halogen's but I don't have the lights you have..wish I did though ..

The short throw is awesome, and the clutch is sooooo smooth! I can't wait until the break in period is over so I can get on it a little harder and really see what this baby could do!

Those are stock daytime running lights you see. I have the Xenon adaptive headlight system and I'm pretty sure the daytime lights and the regular headlights are both xenon. (I think that's what they mean by bi-xenon [???1] )

The DRLs are halogen (H7 bulbs) and double as your high-beam flashers. One reason for this (and maybe the only one) is that xenons are not designed to go on and off quickly as it can shorten their life.

Bi-xenon is a term referring to your combination xenon low and high-beam (non-flashing) system. There is a shutter placed in the light path when in low beam mode that is taken out of the light path in high beam mode fully exposing the xenon bulb.

If you watch your xenon beams on a wall, and go back and forth from low to high, you can see the shutter coming in from the top.

BMWs are so freakin awesome!!!!.

Nice ! I have 330i in the same color. Those tires do don't look like the Michelin Pilots.
Like the Pedals too.

I saw pictures of your car on another thread, Very nice [cheers]

The tires are Michelin Pilot sports and the pedals are AC Schnitzer.

Great Looking Car! How many miles do you have on it?

I have a 330i with the perf. pkg but I did not get those pedals? Were they an additional accesory or something that comes with the CI?

Thanks! The car has about 450 miles on it.

As for the pedals, they're aftermarket AC Schnitzer pedals. I put them on 2 days after I got the car.

Damn, that looks great!! It is such a great car, I sat in a 330Ci ZHP and a 330i ZHP and they were awesome. I just wasn't impressed at the "shortness" of the short-throw shifter...it didn't really feel short at all, but I'm told BMW is known for having very long-shifting gearboxes.
