Me and you have the same car! [:)]

I knew I should have gotten Navigation, I want that turn-out-cd-in-flip-in trick on my car too!

P.S. - This color is GREAT! TRUST ME! You won't regret it (except for cleaning these rims, hehe)

The SMG is great... I live in Cleveland so there is not much traffic. Alot of open road = alot of upcoming points on my license!

Only option I didnt get was the Park Distance Control. I believe that is for women only, eheheh.

Yeah I heard that the brake dust makes it literally impossible to keep them clean. I plan on keeping some cleaning products onhand in the trunk

My wife and I just ordered a 2004 330Ci convertible without the navigation because the dealer said the CD player was an option and it had to be loaded in the trunk instead of the dash like our current 2001 325 convertible. My wife didn't like that idea so we ordered ours without navigation so she could load CD's from the driver's seat. So,what's the deal here, is your flip down navigation screen with CD loader behind it a special after-market thing or is that the standard setup? If it's standard then I'll have to put some major whup-a** on my dealer...in addition to their failure to mention anything about the Steptronic transmission problems that I've just learned about today, thanks to this forum.

Thanks.

Take out that can of whoop a$$. The nav system has the cd player
behind the screen as shown in the above post. It used to be only
available with the cassette player. Are they pushing to sell you a car
off the lot that doesn't have the Nav system?

Dutch- "I got suede on my roof. wood grain on the dash
Sheep skin on the rug, +Golden Grain+ on the stash" --- Ludacris -Act a Fool

Pipe... ha you're right. It's all about whats in the pipe.

2Fast- The GPS comes with the standard SINGLE CD player. Yes, the screen flips down for the CD. The dealer was probably referring to the the option of getting the 5 Disc changer, which is mounted in the trunk. If youre up for spending another 1,800 bones then I would see if your dealer can work something out if its not to far into the order process.

Oh man, I was actually beginning to hope that picture of the CD player behind the flip-down nav screen was a Photoshop gag. I even said, "Are you sure about that?" when I was incredulous over my salesman's staunch position that, "no, sorry, if you get the nav you won't have the CD player in the dash, you'll have to get a changer for the trunk." How the heck can he be so wrong about something like that? Well, twice stunned in the same day by info from this forum. Now I'm afraid to read anymore posts lest I learn more bad news.

I appreciate your info. Thanks.

Yes, exactly, however he said that was the only way to play a CD, load them in the trunk. I even challenged him about it and he was positive the screen did not flip down for a CD slot access. Darn it. Now I have to confront him about this and the potential Steptronic problem I've read about today.

Thanks, I like your new car.
