Cop cars go faster than the regular "civilian versions", atleast, my friend's dad's malibu (i think?) cop car (yes...he's a cop) handles and drives faster/better than the kind you can buy off the lot.

For most town, counties, parishes(typo ¿), and others, the police department pays between $30,000 and $75,000 to revamp stock cars for the police force.

Also, the girls name is Jenna.

Big daddy, read my post before you use it as a quote and criticize it. Try to understand the context and composition of the sentences and paragraphs to get the true meaning, instead of using individual phrases themselves.

As for speculation. I stated before in my first post that it happened "when I first moved here." One might infer that I live in or near Shawnee and may have heard about this long before. I also know many cops, one being a very good family friend who tells me some of the best stories. He has personally gone through 2 Vics with pursuits. He will agree with the doctor that the Caprices were better than the Ford, but he didnt get to try the Camaro SS's either.

They have a few Camaro SS's and GTs here in Johnson County. Kansas City is so spread out and with such an expansive highway structure that they need such specialty vehicles, including big trucks and such. Downtown KC they mostly have those little Impala things.

Of course now they have all but banned pursuits (utter BS). That is lame because 2 kids were killed when they discontinued a pursuit and the driver (who was on meth, common on the MO side) kept flying all over the place and hit them almost 15 miles after the cops gave up (we need more choppers).

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................[rolleyes]
WHERE ARE THR NEW PICS?? PPL R DIEING IN HERE!!!! [scream]

By the way, aren't there any police Corvettes? I guess a friend of mine was ticketed by one...

In the same series there was a video when 2 guys in a porshe outperformed the police cars and were even outperforming the chopper(which they didn't see ofcource), but when they thought they were already away from the cars they slowed down so the chopper caught-up with them and they got bustead on foot....
Anyway I think that IT IS VERY VERY STUPID TO RUN AWAY FROM THE POLICE even on a Ferrari(if you are not criminal of cource [;)] ) cause even if you r gonna outperform them on your supercar, by ricking the lives of ather ppl on the road, they r gonna find you once they have your license....

I've seen one Vette, but that was a Highway patrol car. I think they might be impractical for regular cops.

I might have a less impromptu shoot with Jenna soon. Until then get your own car-babe.

Ryan Stewart I was not critcizing you. I simply answered some questions that you asked or filled in some information you left unexplained. You could read your post again and consider that when you say "they make sh*t up" you never say who they is. Regarding the transmissions of police cars, I worked as a police officer for 22 years before getting my degree and then I represented police officers and agencies reagrding risk, officer conduct, and liability (including product liability as in vehicle failures). It would be fair to say I know well over five thousand police officers personally and have no knowledge of excessive transmission failures in the Ford Crown Vics. This is not to say that the Crown Vic does not have hundreds of other "failures". I apologize if you thought I was critcizing you.

Its a TV show , they make shit up so it looks like the cops always win
I never said that they had excessive transmission failures, just that they werent designed for pursuits and that cops have killed them. Its because they lack one upgrade needed for an auto tranny used for such a situation. A tranny cooler. Take any domestic car and run it at its operational peak for an extended period of time and its gonna overheat. The cop who told me said the car smelled like it was a rubber fire afterward.

I really don't think it's that big of a deal. Motorcycle riders run from the cops and successfully get away very often. I know some Porsche owners that love to run from the cops, as well.

Its cat and mouse. The bike guys could easily loose just by a cop puling into their way.

I like it when bike guys show off and talk shit. All I gotta go is swerve my car a bit and they shut up real quick. [:D]
