I had the same problem as 3 rotor. I have always driven german. (my family worked for the other german bmw competitor) so I love the ride. I checked into the g35. Nice car, if it is your thing , fine. The problem is the used market on the car is weak compared to what I find the 330ci to be selling for. I looked into clk 320conv, e55 (nice car just didn't want to pony the $) s4 and 330ci. My real choice was a 540i 02 sport 6speed, but I drive 2 miles to take the train to NY, so I couldn't get one at the right price.

so today I made up my mind. Bought a 02 330ci: 5 speed, sport, nav, moonroof, cold weather, loaded. 31000 miles, factory warrenty till may 06 and cpo through 08.
$27,900. which in my area is a good deal. 3.%9 bmw financing. you could get a 325 cheaper, but i believe in bigger engines the better. go which the 330ci or conv

For $6K more you could have bought a new '05 G35 coupe which is faster, handles better, and IMO looks a lot better. As to the resale value of a G35, according to every report I've read the G35 coupe holds its value extremely well.

It may be faster, but looks are based on opinion, and BMW makes the best handling cars, so if you took an 05 330 vs. a 05 G35 the BMW would win. As for the quality of the BMW, it far exceeds the G35 in every way.

I could say the same for a 350Z compared to your 05 G35... its faster, handles better, and its cheaper.

Its all about opinion and pricing, if money wasnt too big of an issue I would fork over the extra cash for the BMW no doubt about it.

Anyways, thanks for all your guys help, im still stuck in between the 330Ci, the G35, and the 350Z. The G35 and 350Z being new, and the 330 being used...Hell I might even go back to my original car an RX-7, and out handle/power all 3 of the cars when I get done with it!

true, for 6k more I could of gotten a g35, but I was looking for a used and they do hold their resale well, but I didn't want to spend 33k. The g35 is a nice car. But I like the 330ci better. I think it is personal perf. The g35 is good value for the money, infact my dad is getting one. Call me silly but I wanted a stick and I was worried the g35 sticks might be driven by a young aggresive drive, who might of beaten on it. I see a lot of young guys in that car. As I said before for 35-37k i would of got the 540i stick sport. Also the bmw has good deals on financing.

rx7 great car haven't driven one in years.

even though the G35 is a deal for the money, and has a big aftermarket market (nissan), i would spend the same money or more for a BMW 330. 330 is more dependable and more reliable car. BMW has an amazing chassis, and i personaly thing the '03 models look better than the '04 and '05..the lights are ugly on the newer models. just remember the quality and prestige of bmw.....
