should i wait for the 06 3series?

Hi there!

I wanted to thank everyone for all the useful information I read on these boards before purchasing my new baby. We just purchased a 2005 330i sedan, mystic blue with premium and sport pckgs, xenons and fold down seats. I too pondered whether to wait for the new model for several months and then decided why wait, I love the looks of the car now and that's never going to change. Also, I got a fabulous price! I paid $36,400 and one of the dealers told me he had never seen one leave their dealership for that price. They are having a great dealer incentive right now. If you like the car and want to save a few dollars I'd buy the 05. Like Patch, we plan on keeping the car at least 10 years. Good luck with your decision, either way you will not be disappointed in a BMW.

I got my 2005 330ci for 42K. That includes LOJAC, performance package, xenons, silver metallic paint, and navigation. I think i knocked off about 5 grand off msrp. Dealers are definately knocking down prices.

there's too many changes to the e90, it'll take them a few yrs to iron out all the wrinkles.. I'd get the e46

I would wait for the 06. More horseys and a few more options that are standard from the 05.

that R6 sounds pretty sweet. but maybe do a 2 year lease on an 05 330i zhp then buy an 06 330i

Buying the car in the first year of production is a risk...and the incentives on the '05 models are significant (I bought mine for $7,000 off list). I like the E46.
