2004 eh?? Awesome. I'm already jealous.[fake]

Don't forget to check the status of your vehicle and keep us posted on the progress. May I ask what options you got in yours? I'm just curious. And if I may ask, what was the final price on yours? Before taxes and tags I got mine down to about 42k.

Options I added:
Performance Package
Xenon
Sun Roof
Nav system

Good luck with the wait for an awesome car!
Dekion...If I remeber, you also have the Imola Red. I understand there are not going to be too many in this color. I have had mine for a month or so now and been asked no less than 100 times about the car. I have never seen another around here yet, are there many in the East? Congrats on the new car!

My options are...

Perf. Pack
Metallic paint
Bi-xenon Headlights

My dealer stated with the Euro. Delivery... $39,370

I'm not going to see the actual paperwork until Saturday when I can tell you more then.

You'd be proud of me... I'm on a remote island in the Pacific & I (color) printed the pictures
of your 330i that I put-up on my wall as a reminder of the X-mas present I'm waiting on.

I'm getting off duty now and I'll be back tomorrow.

I'd be happy to answer any/all questions concerning the car/ED.[thumb] [cheers]
WOW ...good price! And great X-mas gift. Have fun picking it up [driving]

thanks again

Elussive - I'll get better pics as soon as my wife lets me drive it to work. Also, i'm not very good at reducing the size of the pics. I'll repost as soon as possible though.

Paddy - Are they charging you for metallic paint? As far as I can remember, metallic paint is additional and the Imola Red is NOT considered metallic. Make sure they aren't charging you the $400+ for metallic. Man, if I would have known you were going to color print them, I would have taken better pics in a different area. (an exuse for me to take more pics and post em) hehe

Bryan - I haven't seen a single Imola Red PP around this area. And the thing is, where I work, it seems like more than 50% of the people drive bimmers. I have only ever seen one other PP and it was black. I do get alot of looks from other BMW drivers. Just no compliments from them. Although at the dealer everyone shopping for a bimmer the day my car arrived was standing around my car asking to test drive it. My sales person was like, NOPE, already sold.

MScoins - I agree with you on the personal preference. My favorite affordable cars right now are the G35, IS300, and 330. Two out of three isn't bad at all. Plus my wife did all the dealing at the Lexus dealer. We got $5000 off sticker price. Original price of the IS300 was 33k with all the upgrades. We got the vehicle for $27.5K. We figured that we couldn't pass up the opportunity.

Jamie - thx for the compliments. I'll have to get my wife on this site to read all the excellent comments.

Hey Dekion...How is Frederick, MD? I lived in Alexandria, VA, towards Springfield Mall. We are thinking about moving back, possibly next year, but WOW what has happened to housing prices??? We will make about $75,000.00 on our house but will need to pay about $150,000.00 more to get the some home there now. We have lost some buying power in your area for sure. Did you have a hard time getting your place? It looks new. I have heard stories about sales by lottery because demand is so high.

"Imola Red"

Yo Dekion,

The dealer DID say the Imola was a Metallic paint.

Can you check your contract and see, for sure, if you were charged for the Metallic ?

That would give me more "fire power" when I go into my dealership next week if I
can say someone I know wasn't charged...

Thanks[:)]

Paddy

I was NOT charged for Imola Red. Go to www.bmwusa.com and build a 330i. You will see the Imola Red listed under "NON Metallic". The only thing is, is that you have to get the PP to get it. You should definitely NOT be charged for that paint. Don't let the dealer charge you for it!!!
Same goes for the silver cube trim. That's a no extra option on the performance package. I'm sure other folks who bought an Imola Red PP on this site can vouch for me.

Hey Bryan,

Frederick is growing so freaking rapidly. I used to have a house in Frederick about 4 years ago, I sold it because my company moved me out of state. I come back 2 years later and find that housing prices DOUBLED since I left. Even in FREDERICK!!!!!

I work in Arlington, VA. Takes a good 1.5 hours each way to get to and from work. If you lived in Springfield and plan on moving back to the same area you'll find that traffic has gotten worse! Northern VA is a big parking lot around the beltway.

My townhouse in Frederick cost us $300k. 3 bedrooms and a detached garage. A friend of mine just bought a townhouse in Loudon County for $300k too. He was looking to live in Arlington but houses here were running about $500k and they are like 100 years old with 2 bedrooms. LOL

The only good thing is the extra low interest rate. It allows you to afford more house for your buck. (or just better location) The real estate market around here has sky rocketed. Great for the seller but crappy for the buyers. However, people are still paying the prices!!! It's freaking unbelievable. The houses in my neighborhood started below $300k now they're selling for more than $600k. [?|]

If you're planning on coming back, come back soon. Who knows how much real estate will cost in a year.

Imola Red is a NON-Metallic color. It is listed as Non-Metallic and when you select it, it does not add $400 to your total. You should NOT be getting charged for that option.

Hey PaddyLV:

Imola Red is not metallic. I had the same thing happen on my first quote. They took it off when I asked them about it. He said the program for quotes downloads all options for the model and they need to modify for the individual car. When looking at the quote, I think they were telling the truth and they took the charge off right away.

"Imola Red issue..."

[wave]

I just left a voice mail w/my dealer ref. the "Imola vs Metallic..."

I think he just [mistakenly] uttered the word 'Metallic' when we were going over

my options list because I had originally decided on the Gray Metallic. When I made the

change to Imola he was a little taken back.

Anyway, thanks Dekion for the 'backup.'[pray]

Thanks for the information. It has sure changed a lot from the days I remember. I looked at a townhouse in Kingstown commuinity with a 2 car garage, 3 bedrooms and 2300 square feet for $200,000. Looks like it would be $400-500k by now. A lot to consider. Thanks for the information. [wave]
