So I guess I should ask this final question.......So no one has fixed this problem nice and easy? It has to be done the BMW way of buying a whole new kit?

Nice DIY OneEye, he wrote that from memory? Wow.

But it's VERY lame that the sunroof shade will break for no reason.

This is scandalous. BMW is saving no money by performing
4-5 hour dealer warranty work, while saving a few pennies by
using cheap plastic clips on a $40,000+ vehicle.

The DIY forum makes it seem easy to replace the clips by taking the sunroof completly off but I still dont trust myself.....lol.....Ya its pretty sad how many people go through these things....THis type of car shouldnt be having these kinds of problems but I guess more important is that the major things such as the engine and tranny are of high quality.....
