stock 195 hp, means for you, even after modding, 138 at the wheels? that friction loss would be at least 57 hp, not considering your tuning, what ever it was. that is a calculated loss of 30 hp from the clutch to the wheels? no way. that is unrealistc.

just imagine that a lot of cars that should have some 60 hp would end up with a little more strength than my lawn mower....

You must be more experienced with stuff like this cause you're trying to call on all your consenting BMW brandwhores to back you up.
well yes he is used to stuff like that. he knows what he is talking. i faught one "fight" with him, and he nailed the lying guy (not saying you are a liar, it was only refered to this one single occasion) oh and thanks for calling me a whore. you couldn't afford me [rofl]

and also for representing the entire BMW community, insulting forum members intelligence by saying that BMW's "aren't meant to be top performers"
??? what has performance to do with intelligence???? but yeah i forgot, you were workinh on roock porsche. wait my father was rally driver. does that count? [rolleyes]

please don't get me wrong. i mean, you come here to present what you did. that is in my eyes asking for opinions. if you don't like one's opinion that's okay, but you have to accept it. otherwise stay away.
oh and a final thing, if you are really that great in engineering, built 2 WRC's (i assume it to be WRC), were member at the porsche race team and so on, then why aren't you mature enough to just ignore his opinion?

epj3, you goooot that loooovin feeeeeelin... [;)]

Wadula, wow-you really got me. I said SCCA pro rally not WRC. SCCA is US Based rally why don't you learn to read before retorting like a little girl.

You should also learn to spell. Is anyone on this board over 14 years old?

Is this English?

"he knows what he is talking. i faught one "fight" with him"

30 hp loss is perfectly acceptable. AWD cars have over 60hp loss, especially older ones like DSM and AUDI cars, and of course the venerable 325ix with a chain driven transfer case.

You guys have never been to a dyno day have you? You both probably belive that your air filter adds 25hp and that your cars put to the road whatever the manual says it does.

I did accept the fact that Epj3 doesn't like my car. Read my post. I don't really care if he does or not because he's probably a 17 year old kid that hasn't done anything but criticize people with 7 misspellings in 4 posts, inaccurate information and flames.

Look at his Avitar, it's making fun of Bangle. This guy is making fun of a successful young designer who's designed cars purchased by millions of people and Epj3 can't even spell on some internet chat room.

As for you, you haven't presented me with anything interesting other than demonstrating your lack of knowledge on dynamometer runs and power loss. Did you know that the faster a car goes, the more friction loss there is? Try pushing your car. It's hard isn't it. Now try pushing it 60mph. There's a lot more friction.

"just imagine that a lot of cars that should have some 60 hp would end up with a little more strength than my lawn mower...."

Yes you're probably right but how many cars come with 60hp? Still waiting on that one.

You guys can go back to waxing your cars and talking about spoilers and I'll just build my ricey car. By the way, I'd love to know how oem VDO gauges (which are German) mounted in Carbon is ricey. The Mclauren must be the ultimate rice car.

Whatever. If anyone wants to come to the track in NH this fall I'll be glad to join them.

[rofl] [rofl] [rofl]

look at that. mr ultimatly mature gets emotional....how pathetic.

well at first i want to express that i really do not pay attention to my spelling. i just type and don't have the guts to correct it (ask the other guys, most of them will confirm that). so yes go ahead and laugh at me for it, i am okay with that. but calling me a 14 year old and bashing so hard like you did and then giving me a nice typo youself is just toooooo great. it is McLaren, not Mclauren
The Mclauren must be the ultimate rice car.
[rofl] [rofl] [rofl] so much for our all intelligence.

you have never read any thing from me concerning air filter, did you? well i don't blame you, research is a hard thing to do.

the bangle story...hm....that again is a question of taste and personal opinion which you obviously can not accept to be different from yours. a majority of people here on the board share the opinion that bangle is not the kind of designer bmw should have hired. yes i know, it's only my humble opinion....[hihi]

this board ia decent place that everybody enjoys spending time on. we have discussions and controverseries, debates and disputes. mostly the involved are able to stay calm and objective. those, that are the exception of the mostly, are guys like you. harrassing, bashing, emotional, personal. all adjectives that do not fit to the word discussion. we will not be sorry if you don't come back. btw, you won't be either i can imagine.

oreogaborio,

don't worry in general we are a very friendly people and it is, honestly, really rare that we have disputes like that.

furthermore, it is only concerning one topic. if you read through the others, we all come along.

i suggest that we just end our topic here, call the score even and move on, heh?

what do you say?

Oh yea, how do you know that I am making fun of bangle? Maybe I am a fan of him and his work....but you had to assume. [;)]

Oh yea, you're trying to "make fun" of me for being 17, but who is the prick arguing with me?! [rofl]

And wadula is German, so please excuse him for having the intellect to learn another language.
