MtHarley,

Great car but since I own the same car with grey interior it sounds kind of self serving.

I took delivery on March 13th, 03.

Also own a white 89 325CIC with brown top. The new car seems like a bargin since it only cost about $10k more than the 89.

Don't you find the black interior hot?

Since this is about my 11th black car with black interior, I never really think about it......in my opinion, when the car is clean outside and inside, nothing compares to black on black........Ken.....you need to get MrElussive to post your picture too..........when you own a BMW everything is kinda self-serving..........[:D]

MrElussive ???

MrElussive,

why are you even here?? you have a nissan/infiniti? .... i would watch it ... insulting people who drive BMWs on a BMW forum isnt very intelligent

and as for ridiculous problems ... every car company has had them ... keep looking for an excuse to help the myth of perfect japanese car quality seem true

He may not drive a BMW at the moment, but he is very knowledgeable on BMW's......if you look at all the replies to varied questions and not just E46 Series.......besides I need a computer literate guy on my threads........I'll slap him for the comment.....but can we adopt him anyways.....[slap]

Fibally back in the office and am trying to figure out how to post pics. Set digital camera and lowest file size and they are still over 120K. How do you compress to post?

I must be doing something wrong. Did I miss simething?

Ken, try using Adobe photoshop and saving it at a lower quality or make sure they are around 640x480 pixels.

Wow, this is weird. It sounds like you two are talking about "accepting me" into this forum. Although, I thought I was quite past that with 1,500+ posts. And nowhere in the forum rules does it say I have to own a BMW...I just post advice whenever/wherever I can, and talk about interesting stuff with other members. I even hosted the picture of your car, MyHarley, and you're talking about "adopting ME". Unbelievable........................

I think you need to reread the posts MrElussive.........I was defending you of your knowledge of BMW's and computers..........after your "attitude" comment about silly problems with BMW's, and listing that comment on a BMW forum, you had offended some members........there is no way you can mistake my comments other than in your favor...........so place your aggravation where due...........[mad]

Perhaps mallards (and you, MyHarley) should consider the fact that just because I don't drive a BMW, it doesn't make my vehicle inferior, and it certainly doesn't make me "not acceptable" on this forum.

Quote for the Day!!! "To understand a man's mind, listen to his words."

My words do not state your car is inferior...........my words do not state that you do not belong in this forum..........so please direct your comments in another direction........I'm giving you another [slap] because you still don't get it............

UPDATE ON DUNLOP TIRES

I got my car back today after three days in the shop to put on the new Dunlop tires due to catastrophic failure on the original set......realigned the car, replaced the sub-woofer box in trunk (was vibrating badly), and tried to fix another 7 or 8 rattles from all the vibration placed on the car for the last five weeks. We were reviewing the car and I noticed several 1" chunks out of the wheels and two really bad places where even a tire had a piece of rubber hanging on the side. I asked if they used metal tools for getting the tires off of the rims since all four wheels have bad scrape marks. Two of the wheels have 1" chunks of paint missing.....of course they were appalled and said these wheels should not be that easy to scratch.....I said its only been two months, what are they going to look like in three years. They said they will contact BMW for warranty to replace the wheels or send them out to be fixed........jiminy cricket.....Can a rim place fix them to the quality they should be or should I push my dealership to start all over?? I'm tired of a wheel/tire problem.

The car is riding better (a whole lot better) but the passenger seat and passenger door still rattles something fierce....

The BMW lettering windscreen they installed makes the whole convertible experience a lot better......I'm sure you guys wouldnt notice, but I love it....

The wheels have a couple of missing 1" diameter chunks missing........one of the tires has a piece of rubber hanging (you know the 1/4" wide circle of thicker rubber that butts up right to the wheel, that's been scraped back about 1/2" and is hanging.......yes it is the BMW dealership.....the tires had little stickers on them so they must be new......but there is a large scrape on the wheel at the exact same spot as a piece of rubber hanging.......my service writer said when they test drove after putting on the tires, they must of scraped against a curb........I think I'm jinxed.........

In my past lives I have had the following:

1982 Mustang GT (the original dealership had it stolen when it was getting the clutch adjusted).
1982 Mustang GT (switched dealerships and the next one wrecked it while replacing the battery, a technician didnt put on the emergency break and it rolled into a fence).
1982 Mustang GT (switched dealerships again and found beer cans and bank receipt in back seat when picked up from service)
1984 Toyota MR2 (original dealership, technician left his cigarette on the bumper and burnt it)
1999 Grand Prix GTP - Stolen by Valet
2000 Grand Prix GTP - Stolen by another Valet
2002 Grand Prix GTP - Wrecked in McDonald's parking lot while I'm inside.
2003 BMW 330CIC - Here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I"M a Target!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
