i just traded in a 350Z for an '03 330i (built in 10/2002) that was a dealer demo with 6k miles. while the transmission issues do raise some questions, i don't know if i'll be affected. the sole reason i traded the Z was due to Nissan's issues with the Z and their lack of customer service and the lack of expediting fixes.
i've owned for almost a month now and enjoy the car. the certified warranty gives me piece of mind for a long while. if anything does happen, i hope i can be rest assured that BMW will act promptly and with good service that we all expect.
