HI Larry , the SA guy say they are putting in a new tranny for my car if I find out
it s a rebuild .. Do you think we can get extend warranty?

Hi. All the replacement trannys are rebuilds from what I have been led to understsand. My dealer tried to tell me mine was new, but on the service receipt, it said REMAN.

How many miles do you have on your car? In my case, since I had very little mileage, I chose not to pursue an extension on the warranty. But if you have significant mileage, I say why not try?

Only 6,000 mile on my car, hopefully this thing is fix after the first replacement... Funny how my loaner has a slight slip while shifting it into drive..

My transmission ended up on backorder, so it wasn't replaced until last monday. My wife was nervous about the car being at the dealer so long that she made me take back the 330xi. I'm kinda glad she made me do it though. When I took the car in last Monday, they gave me a z4 to drive.

Mmmmm....Z4...... might need to buy a house with a 3 car garage and add a new member to the family.

Anyway, the transmission is remanufactued, but shifts very smooth.
