Well apparently BMWNA doesn't care, and the dealership is playing games with me again. So in two days thats the update... NOTHING, I am now left to go to another dealer and let them cleanup the mess they made. What a shame you'd think that BMW would take better care of their customers.
My suggestion. Put everything in writing back to the dealer and keep a copy. Send it registered mail if necessary.

i've spoken to kirby, please guys keep the threads on topic, b/c it IS tough for a new bmw user to come to our board and see all this stuff.

as far as the dealer not helping you out, you are being too nice, too understanding with
them. it is thier job to fix any problem. u have a waranty, make full use of it.

my father has a ML55 AMG and we had the dealer replace the enitre rack and pinion system because they couldn't get it right the first time.

so be persistent, and if the dealer is not ging to work with you, then find another dealer.
they WILL do the work, but they will also try to get out of it as well.
I wish the moderators would have spoken to more people about staying on topic. My threads were "hijacked". There are some that want the truth. Count me as one of them.

You're making an assumption that you know what the moderators talked to me about.... and your assumption is wrong. Car_54 was the one who got the warning. 'Nuff said....

Absolutely Larry, I believe you are encouraging the most productive path. We have warranties on our cars, and we need to do whatever is necessary to make sure ours is fixed if there's a problem with it. If your dealer gives you any crap about fixing this problem, I encourage you to print out the TSB, take it to the service department and say "This is what's wrong with my car, FIT IT!". That's what I did (although I didn't have to be rude, they fixed it with no questions asked) and I'm very happy with the car now.

This guy does the exact same thing over at BIMMERFEST also. Kind of like a cheerleader. Oddly enough, he does it with the exact same name. [screwy]
Note Larry is "Isedels" on Bimmerfest.

I wonder why?

P.S. - I have the same user name on EVERY internet forum that I belong to. See, that way people can get to know me and trust in what I say. Who exactly are you again?? Uh huh....... thought so.

And your point is what?

I have nothing to hide, my friend. I'll tell you what. If you can figure out how to change a username on bimmerfest, tell me how to do it and I'll change it. OK? Will that make you happy? But I'm sure your response to this will be just like all the prior responses of you and your buddies ... you will be evasive and avoid the issue.

Strange but true, to date the tranny has slipped 3 times each time at temperatures in the 30's and 20's, after sitting for the night. Problem is it averages high 40's to 50's now and the tranny hasn't slipped since those 3 times. Any ideas? Maybe this transmission's slipping is exclusively dependent upon temp, and I'm going to be in for a surprise next winter.... Thing is the transmission makes a whine-whistle sound in gears 123; suggesting an internal defect. Shouldn't that be reason enough for re-replacement?

5) Seems to be a rattle (something loose) from the right rear of the car, most notable when the car has been shaken after a few bumps...
This rattle was in my car too. It was a loose shock mount. The dealer tightened it and no more rattle.

Oh, my Steptronic repair/replacement has 1000 miles on it now, and it works flawlessly. FYI

IMHO just try it again (the tranny work). It will take less time to try to fix it than fight it...guranteed.
