Bmw 325i 7803,

I would prefer to leave the dealers name off of this forum. I don't wish to bring my many issues with them on this board. We just need to stick to the facts and as Trading_up_2_330Ci stated there is a bulletin dated June 2003 stating the transmission problems. If this bulletin is verified, it will definately give us the documentation that we need to prove our point. This issue has gone on unresolved too long and has effected many customers.

Can anyone reference a valid TIS# for any bulletins prior to TIS 24 07 03 dealing with the transmission problem? Thanks.

Trading_up_2_330Ci or Car_54... Any update on this tech bulletin from June 2003? I would really like to take to my dealer ASAP and complain. If you could please post or provide a link that would be great.....

Thanks

You have ranted demanded and name called fellow members. Defended BMW's failed software and clutch patch and now you seek assistance?. That takes the cake. You ignored my plea for a copy of a bulletin. The bulletin that states "replace the transmission". Ask your BMW tech "Wileymo" for a copy and share with all of us.

Kim -

How do you know that he ever had an official copy of the bulletin to post for you? Just curious...

You might also accuse that I ignored your plea - but - I never had a copy of it to post. I have only ever seen what others have posted here.

LipSmacknGOOd,

Take a chill.... Car_54 and Trading_up_2_330Ci have both stated that there is a doc proving the BMW knew about this issue in June of 2003..... We are looking to see a copy of the doc and or a link to it... not just for me but for all of us.... I never had a copy of the TSB to post for you.

As far as ranting, I think it is only fair to all of us that we qualify our claims with proof. I have already said that I cannot "prove" my statements with paper.... But others say they have docs, so All I am doing is asking to see them so we can all benefit.

Breath Deep and relax

You can thank IMPORTERofRECORD for this -- They posted in another thread "BMW TSB 24 07 03"

You really do need to cool down. Ranted? Name called? Why is it that everywhere else on these boards when there are two groups that disagree, each manages to express their views and support them the best they can ... with respect for each other's views? Take a look ... do a few searches and you will find dozens of examples. Why do you insist on being so hostile and going on the offensive so much? How about getting used to just expressing your views, and having respect for opposing views ... stating your opposition and why you object in a respectful manner?

wileymo,

What you posted was 100% on and what we a few of us have been stating also. Your posting helps confirm our prior posts.

Although, If I were an owner with a new BMW I would be pissed also if BMW were selling cars off of the lot that had this issue and not telling the consumer.... I myself purchased a 2003 in Aug and were one of the first (at my dealership) to come in for the problem. After some time (Dec) the dealership did the clutch pack replacement and all has been fine.

One question for you though Wileymo... There have been some on this board who are stating that the clutch pack replacement is faulty and only a temporary fix. While I do not believe this to be true....It would be good to hear if you have any info on this.

Thanks Again.

Given your statement, you must be very angry with your dealer. This defect was known and communicated in writing in bulletins sent to dealers PRIOR to your confirmed date of purchase. There were several safety bulletins preceeding SIB 24 07 03 dated Feb 2004.[wave]
Curious how you respond to this. You have posted that you were working with BMW and have many confidential friends at dealerships. How do you feel now knowing your dealer chumped you?

Actually... I am still awaiting the doc or links to show that this is true.... If I receive such info then you can say that I might have been sold a vehicle that was knowingly damaged... So far I have words and no evidence.... So if you can provide that would be great.....[thumb]

Just cause Car_54 says it's true does not make it true.. But I am open and am willing to look at anything that they can provide besides words. I mean that is what you all fight about is what is on paper right?

Show me paper.

No one believes my words..... My Tech lives around the corner and I see him all of the time... But I don't know anything right?

So why should anyone respect anyone else's words?

There are some people out there that believe your words, especially when you have repeatedly asked for documentation of their statements. If they answer at all, they just continue to quote the February TIS and continue with the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) Factor. In fact, in another thread, one of the posters says they have never seen the document, then they state it is factual.

Show us the TIS documents prior to Feb 2004. Show us the June 2003 document that proves BMW has known for years. Show us documentation from 2002 that BMW knew there was a problem. Show us the lawyers' documents. This would help a lot of people make their case against BMW. As cdotger said, show me the paper, and a verifiable source.

Has anyone been smart enough to tape record their conversations with BMWNA and their dealers?[wave]
Taping the conversations seems to be a smart thing to do. Removes all the "he said she said". Probably would have made BMWNA act faster. BUT, I have no idea about the legality. There must be an attorney among us.

One must be very careful

It should be legal as long as you notify them that they are being recorded. It least that is the way it works in most industries.
Appologies. Facts are as follows:
Federal law allows recording of phone calls and other electronic communications with the consent of at least one party to the "call". A majority of the states have adopted wiretapping statutes based on the federal law.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
Twelve states require the consent of all parties to a conversation. Those jurisdictions are California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington.

I thought a couple of your posts were a little dodgey. I printed the above and asked a buddy from FBI and she said you were correct. Where do you get this stuff?[confused]
