Ok, I completely missed the M3 hood. The front bumper is similar to an M3 bumper, but it isn't an M3 bumper. The rear spoiler isn't close to being an M3 spoiler. Plus, when is someone not allowed to put a lip spoiler on their BMW? I'd like to put a 325is lip spoiler on my 325e - will that make me a ricer? Well crap - my '67 Camaro didn't originally come with the lip spoiler on the trunk, so it must be a ricer too since it now has one. Please. I'm sorry, but I still don't see a damn //M3 logo anywhere on that car, and I don't think I'm blind.

Oh no, check out that lip spoiler - my muscle car is now a ricer!! [rofl]
bahahahahahaha!!!!!!
[rofl]
pushy pushy pushy!!!!!!!! you'll never learn[:p]

it has an indentation on the top. However, after going to such lengths of converting the car to M3 I was very surprised he did not install the sidegrills... that is the thing that gave it away right away. [wave]

Hey Guys.

Well The car has a M3 bumper, M3 hood, M3 power folding mirrors and that's it, LOL no M3 badges or stickers like someone said. I compete in car shows and there are reasons why I chose the M3 parts. Main reason OEM quality, hood is a lot lighter than a stock 3 series hood. The bumper, well not too many bumpers out there that are of ABS or polyurethane base, and it's also one of the few bumpers with an nice opening for the intercooler for my supercharger. M3 power folding mirrors, had to lose the square elephant ear mirrors, and let's face it I'm a fool for electronic gimmicks. To top this all off I get more points at shows b/c it's somewhat of a mild conversion. The "quad exhaust" is actually up for sale, it's robbing me of some power. Not like the M3 exhaust is a real quad setup anyways, but some like to think it is [hihi]. Anyways, believe me this car run's with M3's, with the supercharger, upgraded diff, and exhaust I'm putting 286HP and 268 ft/lbs TQ to the wheels. The gearing is better on the M3 but I have no problems hanging with one. The car is only in it's begining stages of performance mods. I'm shooting for at least 350 RWHP. Headers, cams, larger injectors, custom tuning. As far as "wasting" money or why I didn't get a real M3, well this is my first BMW, never had intentions of doing all this, but the mod bug and car show scene is addictive. It's a fun hobby and having sponsorships helps defer some costs. Sure an M3 is a relatively fast car out the dealer. But anyone can buy a fast nice car, not everyone can or wants to undertake building a fast/nice car from less of a car. Besides the M3 doesn't have as much peformance mods available for it as the regular E46, plus look at how many late '01 - early '02 M3's had motors going. But different strokes for different folks. All in all we're all BMW enthusiasts but just different breeds.

BTW thanks for all the comments, both positive and negative. I especially appreciate the compliments on the photography. Been really getting into that and trying to develop my skills/creativity in shooting.

Like I said in my first post RR BuGGz, don't let anyone deter you from your hobbies. The car is outstanding in many facets. I couldn't have said it any better than you're post. What most people forget is how much fun it is to take a stock car and make into you're own. It is just that much nicer when you receive complements and knowing all the hard work has paid off. As for spending a lot fixing up compared to buying a newer car that already has the HP/TQ; both ways will net you a very good, fast, and enjoyable car, but one thing to consider along with all you're reasons and statements is the insurance factor. I bet you pay a lot less for insurance than others who have a car that is classified as a sports car aka ///M3. Unless you have insured the car for what you have put into it. Don't get me wrong fellow bmwboard members, I would and will love to own a ///M3. It's just a matter of time before I get one, but to slam someone for taking a stock 3 series and modding it to the degree he has done (by no means is this thing "riced out") to his and creating something so beautiful and fast as hell is either ignorant, jealous, or both. You have to remember he did not put any ///M badges on the car.

Enjoy RR BuGGz as much as you can, because I sure know I would. My Y2k 328i looks so civic-ish compared to that sweet ride. [driving] [thumb]

P.S. Love the pics. I have to agree with jrt67ss350, the hanger backdrop is fantastic.

Thanx guys, I don't take any "negative" opinions personally. Haha can't satisfy everyone. I run my own BMW forum so you have to learn to respect everyone's opinions. BTW is there any gallery on this forum to view other member's pics?

Push, the goal of his M3 parts was not to make his car look like an M3. But rather, the M3 over the regular 330Ci has several differences that make it aggressively nicer. So he used M3 parts to make his 330Ci aggressive...nothing is better than OEM BMW parts to make the car look more aggressive. Maybe he could have gotten an M3, or maybe two, after all the $$$ he put into his car, but I'm sure as hell willing to bet that at this point, he would EASILY take his ride over an M3.

[wave] [joke] [rofl] well ya [welcome] nice to have you aboard.[hihi]

Nasty

BMW cars are beautiful stock! And the Carbon fiber hood is terrible and I don't think he saved some weight! The M3 comes with aluminum body so why the carbon hood?

I think that the aftermarket carbon fiber hood is heavyer than the aluminum. stock[mad]

He should of buy some Honda.[?|]

Well he did put an //M logo on the steering wheel. [confused]

I'll guess for being supercharged he can put an //M.. but has to buy an M3 to deserve the M3 status from my side [hihi]. Simply sticking cosmetics on does not qualify as an M3 to me.

The original Silver BMW had awesome wheels....1200 a piece I think...forged..light with classic mesh design

The funny thing is I see people who dont even race or know anything about motorsports are the ones trying to dis the car [hihi]

Oh man he put bembo's on...WTF...stock BMW is so much better....oh he put a ball bearing ceramic VATN turbo on it....damn the car was better stock [rolleyes]

WHen the parts you add offer better strength, more power, better handling and countless other benefits its pretty absurd to call it "rice"

Now the hood should have been painted with some small areas left unpainted to show the carbon fiber weave....subtle and only noticed by the enthusiast who is looking for it.

The second car had beautiful HRE's which shows a comittment of excellence is component selection (hopefully)

SO someone who drops $4000 on wheels isnt going to put junk on his ride....OEM is usaully the best fit and only companies who work closely with the OEM can gain that quality.

Mugen for instance is run by Honda's son....Mugen parts fit like stock but are intended for motorsports....so when I see real Mugen parts used I know the owner appreciates high quality and puts a high effort into his ride.

Anyone can slap parts on but when youve been in the scene for 7 years its easy to spot the trend setters and the trend followers.....when you in this for the long haul...it only makes sense to use the best parts

90% of you cant even recognize the nice parts from the crap....take a little time to realize how much effort someone puts into building their personal ride and the quality maintained.

Saying a statement like that shows, you obviously have no knowledge of BMW. The steering wheel is from the new 330 performance package. It is a suede steering wheel. You browse bmwusa.com and read a couple of BMW brochures and all of a sudden we are an expert, LOL [hihi]. Okay so I guess BMW must be making M3 wannabe's as well. There's M logo's on style M68 wheels, which guess what, come standard with a 330Ci 2001 sports package. The M badge is from the Motorsport division. If BMW designs a style of wheels or other part as a more sport oriented part or package, guess what they put a M logo on it. The precious M logo isn't exclusive to M3 parts only. And to sum up my modding style, the car is not meant to be an M3 look alike. Instead I chose the parts b/c they had the the balance of form & function I was looking for. Could I have bought an M3? Sure, and guess what I would have probably modded that as well, and then I would have heard why not just get an M5 with all the $$ spent. Nothing wrong with making something good, better.
