Yeah, the stuff dealerships say to make you wait is so funny sometimes. For me, they just used the "it's a hot car" excuse.
I feel your pain, snowsedan. Just hang in there and it will be worth it in the end. You ordered the 325xi and you were waiting for it for so long and that's what you really wanted...you are 90% of the way there, no point in backing out now. [thumb]

Snow, sorry I was out all day. BUT I did call me dealer, who I think is starting not to return my phone calls (im sure cause he has no answers) an he told me they had problems at the port, and it took a couple of extra days unloading, which is BS because I know the ship set sail that same day. Its gonna be 75 on saturday here, and if I dont have my hair(or lack there of) blowing in the Fu*kin wind, im gonna blow a gasket!!! Wow im starting to get hostile..... I better go to bed.

My suggestion is to drink heavily. I'm expecting a call from the dealer today telling me the Loch Ness Monster was found in the belly of the ship.

They better compensate us for this pain and suffering.

Snow, Im thinking Ill give him to about 1 till I start screaming today. After I posted last night, I really got worked up. My wife was telling me to get over it, its just a car!!! I wish I could drive down to the damn VPC and pick it up myself.



O BTW BMWNA is no help anymore. refered me right back to the [?|] dealer [?|]

I really was being sympathetic........since mine was in the shop for almost a month and we were having absolutely gorgeous weather, I understood the frustration......[:(].....the wife's comment about just being a car reminded me of all my friends saying the same thing....good luck.......

Well normaly it wouldnt be to bad, but each day it gets a degree colder. Today is sunny and 70 here, and I know it probably wont hit 70 again till the spring. If it was mid summer it wouldnt be to bad, but I keep running thru my head, 1 day with the top down is all I need, but after today it doesnt look to good.

My phone must have gone dead. Nothing yet from my dealer. Any new developments on your end?

At this point, with all the reports of electrical and mechanical troubles I'm getting concerned that this batch is a bunch of lemons. Bad karma from the strike in Germany earlier this year. Maybe disgruntled workers are spitting on the chips.

Snow, same on this end. Im not sure if they are driving today, or if its the hoiday to them.




EDIT:
Nice! Just called my dealer. seems my boy took a few days off and wont be in till thursday this week. SO looks like I wont see my car till at least friday now!!! I think im gonna loose it.... talk me in off the ledge please!!!!!!!

Now they say all of the 2004 3-series cars haven't been released from the port and that they have no idea when they might be delivered. I'm going to call BMW North America and get some answers. This doesn't pass the smell test to me.

I would advise that everyone waiting, and waiting and waiting for their cars get on the horn and make noise at the dealer level so they push on the other end. I just got off the phone with BMW North America, and they will not assist in the matter. I would obviously rather wait a few weeks and get a car that's free of defaults than get it quick and have a nightmare experience, but this has gotten out of control. If they would only keep you informed and call me rather than have me call them and get the runaround it wouldn't be so bad.

Now, I want a bunch of add-ons AFTER they kiss my butt. No wonder Infinity is on their tails.

Nope, my guy took off till thursday (didnt tell me) and his maneger took off till then as well. Unless there starting to avoid me (could happen). I think the weather has offically changed here anyway now. I dont think I will see another day near 70, so im kinda over the fact I wont get to put the top down till spring.
