Dont think so Loon. According to the new brochure, style 137 five spoke rims come with
xi sport package. Very tough looking, rugged sporty rims. Definitely an improvement over last year. 68M comes with 330i sport package. THose are pretty cool rims.

Go Loon!

Let the good times roll! You are in for a treat, I can tell you that. The clutch takes a little getting used to, but the overall driving experience is extremely smooth and balanced. I was a little nervous about the power in the 325, but it's got plenty and the torque is there all the way through fourth.

Right now, the only issue I have is that when the moonroof is open and all the windows are closed, or if the moonroof is open on the tilt and one back window is open, there is a sonic shudder in the car so bad you have to close whatever is open. It seems to happen at about 33 MPH. Very odd. Let me know if you have the same problem, cause I find it hard to believe it's only in my car.

Anyway, enjoy the ride! I haven't stopped smiling yet (though the Yankees could have something to do with that).

Hey snow. My wifes Lexus does the same thing. I think it has to do with the tight air seal of the car. It actually hurts my ears if one of my kids opens only there window. I have to crack my window or turn the vents on to get the air flow going. Give those a try.

I got a 330 step, so I wont have the clutch, but ill let you know how the step drives. I would have loved a manual, but I do to much drining into NYC and the wife wouldnt be able to drive it(hmmm).

Xi Guy: Sorry for my absence from the board, but with the car in my possession I figured it was time to get back to work and start paying for the car. I need to see how to post pictures on the board. I have some on a memory stick from my Sony digital camera, so I'll get that straight and post some pics soon.

Anyway, the car is absolutely awesome. I'm sure the power of the 330xi makes for an even more impressive performer, but I'm glad I went for the 325xi with the five speed since it's got all the energy I need. It's almost the same 0-60 as with the automatic 330xi, so I would have no qualms about going head-to-head with a 330xi if that situations presents itself. Overall driving experience is very impressive. Going around sharp turns there is zero body roll. The car stays completely flat, and the sport seats hold you firmly in place so you ride around the bends like the car is on rails. I've already dusted a bunch of pretender sedans on the curves. You can see them fade as the bends come into play. Nothing like down shifting into a curve without using the brakes, then whipping the sucker through the turn while a former tailgater suffers from oversteer when he misjudges his speed.

The car sits real low and you can't see ANY of the hood when driving. Your vision is about 2 feet in front of the bumper. Very comfortable inside, though it's not for the older crowd since it's like a cockpit and you have to slide by the side bolsters. It's really cool inside, and the NAV system honestly makes the interior in my opinion. that was a last minute decision on my part and I'm very happy I have it.

Just a beautiful car. You are in for a treat.

Snowsedan,

The sonic shudder is a common trait of four door BMWs. My X5 does exactly what you describe. My wife drives it mostly, but I seem to remember the sonic shudder if you open just one back window, regardless of the sunroof position. I have heard of people blowing their eardrums and bleeding out of their ears from this. [joke]

Xi Guy: no worries with the break in period as long as you keep it under 4500 RPM, don't go over 100 MPH and vary your speeds. That isn't a big problem, even when you are somewhat aggressive on the shifts, though I can't wait until the 1200 miles comes and goes and I can really turn her loose.

Only 4 more hours until I can drive my baby again.

The Ipod www.ipod.com is a mp3 player. Mine is a 15 gig version, it currently has 2600 songs on it and is only about 2/3 full. The AUX connecter mounts in the glove box, and lets you input any line in source. I routed the cable to the little box below the climate control and put my Ipod in there.
The Ipod has nothing to do with the top being down, but its nice to have all that music at my finger tips.

Looooon

Are you out there terrorizing the G35 owners, or what?? Let us know how your chariot feels. I tell you one thing, if your dealer really did treat you as well as you say I feel like a shmuck cause my dealer didn't give me squat. For anyone in NJ, my advice would be to avoid Circle BMW if at all possible, particularly the woman salesperson who shall remain nameless. To this day, I have not received a single shred of real customer service. They are, however, quite efficient in the check cashing department.

Xi Guy: Let that brochure be your friend on the dumper. I read that damn thing so many times I thought my picture was going to show in the drivers seat. Soon, very soon, you will be on the road with us and can throw that brochure into a shredder where it belongs.

Two more hours and the games begin again!
